چکیده

Adaptive filters are primary methods to remove the power line interference from the ECG signal. The frequency range of ECG signal is generally 0.05 Hz to 100 Hz, and that of the power line interference is 50 Hz which lies in the ECG signal band. So, it has become very crucial to remove the power line interference from the ECG signal. In this paper Kalman based least mean square (KLMS) filter has been proposed. The Kalman based Least mean square filter essentially minimize the mean square error and remove the 50Hz power line interferences. The experimental results shows that the Kalman based LMS filter is more effective compare to other filter techniques. Index power line interference; ECG signal; Kalman LMS ; SNR

Removing ECG Artifact from the Surface EMG Signal Using Adaptive Subtraction Technique

Background: The electrocardiogram artifact is a major contamination in the electromyogram signals when electromyogram signal is recorded from upper trunk muscles and because of that the contaminated electromyogram is not useful. Objective: Removing electrocardiogram contamination from electromyogram signals. Methods: In this paper, the clean electromyogram signal, electrocardiogram artifact and e...

Estimation of harmonic interference parameters of surface-NMR signal using an adaptive method and residual signal power

Surface nuclear magnetic resonance (surface-NMR) method is a well-known tool for determining the water-bearing layers and subsurface resistivity structure. Harmonic interference is an inevitable interference in surface-NMR measurements. Accurate estimation of harmonic interference parameters (i.e., fundamental frequency, phase and amplitude) leads to better retrieval of power-line harmonics and...

Review on Power Line Interference Removal from ECG Signal Using Adaptive and Error Filter

An ECG signal is basically an index of the functionality of the heart. For example, a physician can detect arrhythmia by studying abnormalities in the ECG signal. Since very fine features present in an ECG signal may convey important information, it is important to have the signal as clean as possible. Power line interference may be significant in electrocardiography. Often, a proper recording ...

Noise Removal for Baseline Wander and Power Line in Electrocardiograph Signals

Baselines wander and power line interference reduction is the first step in all Electrocardiograph (ECG) output signal function. The baseline wander is caused by changeable electrode-skin impedance, patients’ movements and breath. The ECG signal is also degraded by additive 50 or 60 Hz power line interference. Adaptive filter is a primary method to ECG signal filters, since it does not require ...

Power Line Interference (PLI) Reduction in Electrocardiogram (ECG) Using Multiple Sub-Adaptive Filters Approach

One of the main problems in biomedical data processing like electrocardiography is the separation of the wanted signal from noises. In this paper a type of multiple sub-adaptive filters are considered to reduce the Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal noises like Power Line Interference (PLI). Results of simulations in MATLAB are presented. The results were compared with the pervious approaches used ...
